Event Details
This professional training module offers participants a chance to explore and develop their group facilitation skills and power of presence, deepen their understanding of what the gestalt approach to group work offers and learn ways to structure content using the ‘safe emergency’ framework. Spaces in this training are limited, and participants are required to possess undergraduate qualifications in counselling or equivalent.
Participants will learn;

- System informed group theory
- Group work within teams, organisational groups, training and teachings
- How, we as professional, can create a space within a group setting that is most effective for the flow of healing.
The workshop will cover topics such as contracting, group rules, planning group sessions, the use of ‘self’ as a tool to sense of others, relational dynamics including power and shame, ethics, managing rupture and how to facilitate group endings.
This group would be particularly useful to those considering running a group and needing to workshop their idea. It is also would be particularly useful to people wishing to develop their presence for group facilitation through the gestalt lens of phenomenology, field theory and dialogue.
